Clyde Work Pant in Midweight Linen

As with the Clyde jacket, great fit, excellently made, so pleased to have this set again!

I LOVE the cut and fit of these pants. I have them in the cotton canvas as well as the linen. Unfortunately, the linen is not worth the cost. After my second time wearing the linen pair, the thighs ripped. I tried to patch it myself, but another wear I now have two gaping holes in my thighs. The fabric just isn’t able to hold up to any amount of wear and is therefore not worth any price tag.

I have a two year old and breastfeed so my weight fluctuates constantly by the week and I needed a forgiving pair of pants that were comfortable to wear but nice enough to wear to work. It is very hot and humid we’re we live and linen is the only thing that doesn’t make me overheat but all of the other linen pants I have found were too thin and too casual. These pants are perfect . A note on sizing, I am 5’3” around 155 lbs with 33” natural waist 44 inch hip and the L fits perfect! I don’t even have to wiggle them on at all which I was very surprised by considering the garment measurements for the large. The customer service is absolutely amazing too!!! I originally got an xl based on the sizing numbers but when I submitted a review with pictures the ES STUDIO team was able to suggest I go down a size to the large. They were right and now I am absolute wardrobe heaven were I get to put on clothes and feel good, be happy, and comfortable all at the same time :) I know own these in black linen and flax linen and they are the only pants I wear.

I love these pants - they are so comfy and the pockets are amazing. Only one tiny nit - I think the elastic waist is a little too tight, proportionately, for the rest of the pants. If I size up I'd be swimming in the legs. It would be great if the elastic was sewn a little looser and just barely stretched at the natural waist measurement, so its not default pulling on you quite as much.

Was hoping for consistency in size at the very least since they sell patterns but sadly M isn’t always the same. I absolutely love the first pair I got - perfect fit! So finally I was able to get a pair in black because it’s always sold out but was truly disappointed. This is the second thing I’ve had to return due to size issues. The measurements recommended are not accurate as I followed the w size guide.

I feel like these pants were made for me, which is not how I ever feel about pants. They are comfortable and good for all CA seasons. I love the olive color and just ordered another pair in black. And the pockets! Very flattering on someone like me with straight hips, and oh so useful.

Per reviews and sizing suggestions, I went with a 4 (my usual size), mostly to ensure the waist band fit comfortably, which it 100% does. That said, the structure is loose for my taste, it has a baggy/slouchy lounge look and I was looking for something a little thinner/tailored.

The pants overall are incredibly comfortable and I wear them everyday (unless I'm wearing my black cotton Clyde work pants!). The 4 stars comes from the upper leg area slouchiness, it's JUST a touch too slouchy. I'm not disappointed really, I thought this might be a problem, and have simply considered trading them on selltradees for a size 2. I got the Clyde Work Pants in black cotton size 2 and I like the structure a lot more and the waist band relaxes quite a bit so it's still very comfortable.

The color is beautiful, the pants breathe very well (though I haven't worn them during the summer yet), and the length for me is perfect.

The pants look wonderful with black boots, leather woven mules, and pink onitsuka tiger sneakers. It's slightly tricky dressing the pants up, but doable with a silk blouse/shirt or a nice sweater.

I cannot wait to get another pair (in size 2), if only my bank account were as excited!

These pants are my 3rd pair and definitely my favorite. So comfortable and easy to dress up for nights out.

There seem to be a sewing defection. The way the waist line is sewed caused the crotch area to bunch up. I purchased a lot of ES prior to the pandemic. My current purchase with 3 items are less than satisfactory. Hopefully ES returns to the high quality that I always known it was.

Beautiful fabric. Fit did not work at all for me… Uncomfortable waist band, too tight. Hip and upper leg way too big. I am 5’5 115lbs, ordered a size small, had to return. Costly return options - no refund on original shipping plus return shipping deducted from refund. Unfortunately, probably won’t take the chance on trying any other items because of this. Would still recommend though because the fabric was lovely and item was well made.

The pants are comfortable..pockets are roomy!

My measurements fell right on the cusp between a small and medium. I own a pair of older Clydes in size 6 (purchased secondhand), so I thought a small in this style might be too snug. I purchased a medium and while they are a bit big, I'll wear them when I need something roomier. The quality is amazing. I have come to really love this brand and its overall mission.

Love these high waisted pants for my casual lifestyle, and they look great with tees and oversized button downs. I originally purchased a pair of Andy's as well, but felt like the Clyde waistband was easier to get on and more comfortable for some reason. Planning to order a second color soon!

I have a few tips which I love! So I had high hopes for these pants. I never leave reviews, but given the price of the pants I figured my review could help someone on the fence. I do love the style of the pants and the pocket design is very cool. I read all the reviews about sizing because my measurements are right on the cusp of medium and large (I’m 5’7”) but as mentioned in other reviews the waist band is just WAY too tight…but if I had gone with the large the pants would be shapeless. So I’m bummed. I wanted them to be my everyday pant, but they’re just not comfortable. I did try wearing them a couple day to see if they would be more forgiving, and the linen definitely stretches out fast, but the waistband does not. Too bad

I wear mostly linen for a variety of reasons including having sensitive skin. Elisabeth Suzann linen is hands down the best -- thick without being suffocating, durable because it's thick, and softens beautifully with washing. I own a lot of pieces from ES and have consistently found that the black linen is softer than the "natural" color. It's a pretty deep black too. I wear these pants and my Clydes in "natural" often with a cropped top. Re: sizing, I'm 5'3, 115lbs, slim-hipped, and picked a size based off the hip measurement on the size chart. No regrets.

These are a lovely balance between polish and ease— they do fit a bit differently size wise than some of my previous Clyde pants in the waist but I think they will work well as a wardrobe staple.

these pants fit me perfectly and are extremely comfortable. I have struggled with loving my body for a long time, and this is the first time, in years, that I have tried on a new item of clothing and genuinely smiled at myself in the mirror. priceless.

I have these in canvas as rise is perfect. Very dissapointrd that the rise is increased by over 2”. It is almost at my bra. I know many like a higher rise but this is way to high imo.

Cannot live without.

I think I want to purchase these in every color of every fabric type - I LOVE THESE PANTS. I purchased a pair in 2020 and I love them, but I always found the waistband to be a bit tight and the ankle opening to be a bit narrow. Still totally awesome pants, but these new Clydes are AMAZING - better fit for me in the waist and the ankle. The epic pockets are my most favorite part. Thank you for making these pants! I hope to slowly add more to my closet.

The ES fit revision has been heaven for me! These fit so well for me. I am 5’8”, typically a 2X at 48-40-48. The higher rise and waistband is probably my favorite but the legs also taper nicely, which I’ve found to be challenging in plus size pants.

Comfortable, the fit is perfect.
