Andy Trouser in Midweight Linen

I gave this purchase 3-4 years of consideration and I wanted to give them a lot of use before writing an honest review. First saw them on Dearly Bethany who made them look fabulous but she and I don’t have the same body type so I needed time to think about it (and save!). After all that, I can honestly say I love them and they were worth the investment. I wore them on a winter trip to Austria and they were my #1 reached-for item. I wore them in the snow with thermals underneath and they dried so fast and were breathable for the temperature changes. I also live in west Texas where it’s so hot and I wear these frequently too (wearing them now, even). They are the best travel pants and I don’t think I have a pair of pants I love more. I will be buying another pair in another color at some point and will be first in line if/when the silk comes back. I love the pockets, the beautiful waist band, and just how freaking comfortable the fabric is. I think that the silhouette is so much better in person than in pictures. I wear these pants ALL THE TIME for everything and can totally say I’m happy with my purchase.i can’t wait to invest in more ES pieces and basically live in her clothes.

Every year I order 2 pairs to get me to the next year - these are perfect pants, can’t recommend more! I bring them everywhere for trips, at home, dinner parties - they’re perfect.

Big fan! Aiming to get them

I’ve been wanting these pants for awhile and finally took the plunge when I knew I was traveling to Arizona! I hate wearing shorts so linen pants were a great alternative! Love the color and the fit, they made me feel confident!

I have the Andy’s in 2 sizes. And 3 colors. They look good under a tunic or longer top, sometimes belted with an Asawa belt. They make a nice suit withe the Harper or Clyde trench. The flax go with everything. The silhouette allows for great styling options, offsetting the lack of pockets. I wear mine casually on the weekends and to work with the right top and shoes. The waistband on the small is very snug, but the rest of the pant fits well. The waist of the medium is comfortable but the pant is a bit more voluminous. I wear them all.

Unfortunately these only lasted me just shy of 3 months before developing wear holes in the inner thighs. I just can’t justify spending 205 on pants that can only last that long! I truly commend the brand for aiming to serve all/most sizes, however, if you’re going to serve plus size (which I didn’t even purchase one of their new plus size offerings) you need to do better wear and fabric testing. Someone who is 200+ lbs and wearing a 2X can’t wear the same fabric as your XXS wearer and get the same longevity out of it. I really feel that needs to be addressed otherwise serving your 1X-3X crowd is in vain.

I had owned a pair of Clyde’s a year or so back and had the same problem but I was wearing them in a much smaller size for a tighter fit (I was also smaller at the time) and read some reviews that the black linen seemed to wear faster so I figured I’d give these loose Andy’s in natural a go. I measured into the XXL which I ordered, however it was huge and falling down my waist. The XL is still very loose but more appropriately to the style. Clearly I still ran into the same problem again.

I can’t in good conscious recommend these to anyone whose thighs rub together when they walk or who walks a lot. (I’m both-live in NYC-no car for me!) Unless you don’t mind the big short term investment. 💸

I ordered these for my honeymoon in Morocco and wore them almost everyday. Amazing everyday pant. I do actually like these better than the Clyde’s - less tight on the calf part of my leg. My only complaint is that I ordered a short and probably didn’t need to!

My new favorite pants. I have always loved the linen Florence pants the best but things have changed with the arrival of the new Andy's. They are just a bit more refined for wearing to work and I love the pleating - which I never thought I would as a plus size person believe me! It gives me space to do a full or partial tuck and the space the pleats create is so flattering. Sounds crazy but it is true!!!! Obviously I would love a pocket but I do appreciate the simplicity.
My only complaint is that the sizing is definitely off on the different colorways. I found my black pair fits perfectly (by the way they run a bit large - I can no longer buy Florence pants or Clydes in gen 4 because I am larger than an XL after the sizing updates, but the Andy's work for me because there is more space in the hips and legs.) But my flax pair is noticably smaller (not a full size by any means but smaller) and I have heard others complain about that as well. Love both colors though!!!

These pants are perfect. I have an older pair in wool that I love and was over the moon to see them being offered in linen. The updates to the fit are spot on and the tailoring creates the ideal marriage of effortless ease & put togetherness. I have yet to find a top this doesn’t work with and I can wear them anywhere. Work, playground, beach, bed, dinner, drinks—they do it all! It’s worth noting that the linen relaxes quite a bit and it is safe to size down. I originally ordered the XS-Regular and they were too voluminous and cropped. The most important measurement is the waist in relation to your hips.

Comfortable and stylish pants. The linen drape is lovely, and the waistband is wide without being bulky.

These pants are my staple for all occasions. Love the color choices and have six. My only wish is seeing a few colors in narrow wale corduroy.

Great Andy Pants as usual. They will last for years and fit perfectly. Worth the $$ for sure, and made in the US. All good!

Was thrilled to find this! Fits great and have already worn them with the lightweight linen tops I purchased this year. Am so eager for the mid weight linen trousers I ordered for fall.

The ordering is worth the wait but I wish the preorder could start several months earlier so that (despite the seasonless aspect of linen) the orders come closer to the season.

The Andy Trouser is so comfortable! Very stylish ..doesn't wrinkle much..I've washed them several times..they wear so well. They quality of the construction is outstanding!

I was so excited to finally receive the Andy trousers in mid-weight navy linen. I would say that Elizabeth and her team have perfecting this special pair of trousers over the years and this version is just perfect. It is equally polished and relaxed at the same time. Definitely a forever wardrobe treasure.

These pants are amazing - so comfortable and flattering and svelte all at once! I have Florence and Clyde as well but these are my new favorite.

Classic, quality, and beautiful. In my opinion it's always worth the investment in quality clothes you'll reach for again and again. These pants fit the bill, versatile, comfortable and most definitely of quality material. Also, I was relieved that I won't be needing to take these to the tailor to shorten. I'm 5'1" and found the inseam works just fine, not too long. Looking forward to owning these in core colors for years to come!

Nice pants, wrong size. Normal size is 12 or 14 petite. I picked XL based on measurements but they were huge. Spent hours removing waistband, redoing it lower and smaller, shortening and reshaping leg due to shorter hem. My fault, never buy clothes that are not exchangable.

I have ordered several Andy pants because when I’m wearing them, I tell myself that these are literally the only pants I will ever wear. They feel so good when I walk, and the waistband is super comfy.

Ever since I first discovered Elizabeth Suzann clothing, the Andy Trouser has been my favorite pair of pants. I was so excited to read that the newest version has pockets but somehow the overall fit or shape has changed and they're not as flattering on me as they used to be. (Just to make sure this wasn't because my body has changed, I compared them to an older pair I still have.) This version seems less barrel shaped and a little longer, but not long enough to roll the hems up. They fit more like a pair of straight leg pants, if this makes sense. I hate leaving this review because I am so thrilled that ES is still making clothing.

My daughters told me these pants would be perfect for my strait hips and casual style and they were right. I wear them nearly every day!
