Details

The short, easy version of our Clyde Trench. It's a classic combination of our essential Clyde pocket, traditional trench vibes, and a relaxed, slouchy fit. With added swing and a large shawl collar, it has a deliciously nostalgic shape while still feeling ultra-modern. Its massive pockets carry anything you need.

I see this jacket paired with slim trousers, an oversized button-down, and oxfords on a brisk afternoon walk to the city library. Wear with the collar folded down for a sleek look or full for a structural shape. Leave open for ultimate temperature control—this can be a true jacket or simply a layering piece. Wrap and belt it for a totally different silhouette and to achieve wind-blocking closure. This chameleon piece can be whatever you want it to be!

Fiber: 100% Linen

About This Fabric: Medium weight, sturdy broadcloth that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. Linen possesses natural strength and durability, and it's a super friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing, and is hypoallergenic, comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent.

Beneath the Surface: Linen is a natural fiber made from cellulose fiber inside the stalks of the flax plant. It is a complete product of nature, and can vary drastically in color and texture based on the growing conditions of the season. Variations in base color and texture are not uncommon.

Care: Wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry warm. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.

What to Expect: Linen is a natural fiber and is expected to wear and fade over time, which we love. Natural imperfections in weave are also to be expected and embraced--slubs, nubs, and occasional bits of organic matter are common in linen. If you are looking for the homogeny and perfection of a synthetic fiber or a finely woven cotton you will not find it in linen.
